A native of Wisconsin Rapids, Hayes earned her bachelors and masters degrees in communicative disorders from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. In the mid-to late 1990's she served as a speech pathologist at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida; William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin; and Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield, Wisconsin. She served as the Director of Swallowing Services at the VA Hospital from 1999-2001. After returning to the Wisconsin Rapids area, she served as a scientific writer for the Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation until joining Riverview Health Care Foundation as the President/CEO in August of 2008. |
